Holidays

For this holidays, i will be going overseas to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Sydney. And i will be celebrating Christmas in Hong Kong which ( I think) will be will be AWESOME partly because i haven't done that for about 7 years. After that i will be going over to Malaysia to stay with my dad and during that time we will also go to Singapore. On the way back we're going to stop over at Sydney and spend some time there.

So anyways I"m really sad that I'm leaving to college and im really sad because im going to miss all my year 7 friends and the teachers. When im college there will be a lot of changes such as new friends, new surrondings and the worse change of all. MORE HOMEWORK!!!!!!! Just Kidding,i guess it wont be that bad becasue from what i've heard fro m my sister it the amount of work you get from primary 1 in hong kong which is a bit more than what we're doing but i think ill cope.
But on the bright side all the year 8 boys are going there so college wont actually be that bad.
So i guess thats it, and i just want to say" Good luck year 7's for next year and try your best and never give up hope!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Thursday/DinoDay/Hunger Games trailer making/Lots of fun

So Today we had Dino day well that kind of ended up for the other no filming peps because me, Daniel,Joe, Nicole and Aiden went out around the school filming for the Hunger Games trailer for the year 8 assembly on Monday. So what basically happened was we all went out and filmed but daniel had to go to the orthodontist so i took over his role and we did more filming. I wasn't any particular character so I ended up being a peacekeeper, a guy training,  another peacekeeper for the reaping, a tribute, another random tribute, Another peacekeeper and more random roles. We finished filming at  2:30 and we started editing the movie/trailer. So that's my Thursday/DinoDay/Hunger Games trailer making/Lots of fun

Guy Fawkes

I think fireworks are not suitable for Guy Fawkes. I think fireworks should only be used on News Year day or Christmas. I believe it should be celebrated on these two occasions is because these events are a worldwide event.

Future job

My Future job is to be a pilot. Being a pilot appeals to me because I have a great interest in planes. To become a pilot, I will have to take English, Maths, Biology Chemistry and most importantly Physics. One thing that would help me become a pilot is to play Flight Simulator.

Holidays

During the school holidays, i didn't do very much. he most exciting event that took place was going to Aiden's Paintball party. We went down to PaintBall Corp on Willis and played some games of Paintball. During the games, Aiden shot 5 shots nearly point blan stright into my face, i got shot on my arm and on my foot. This was the highlight of my holidays.

The spring fair was on last sunday. me and Arthur ran down to j'ville station to catch the train. We were so close to missing the train!! When we got to school, me and arthur went to help out with the pillow fighting. We stayed there for an hour then we wenmt to buy some stuff. We left the spring fair at 1:30 and walked to simila train station. We took the train back home and then walked up toarthurs to play COD. I went back home at 4:00

Art Week!!!!

Art week is now over and I have to say that my favourite piece of art work I did during thattime was my leaf print. I like my leaf print because I think it looks really realistic. I took a long time drawing that leaf. For me to Achieve that leaf print, I first had to draw the leaf. Then I got pencils shavings and smudged some colour on and then I painted my background I will soon upload a photo

 My obsession is going onto YouTube and watching Minecraft hunger Games videos. This is only one of my obsessions, my other obsessions include watching reality TV programmes such as the amazing race. I like these shows as the ending are always unpredictable. Another obsession of mine is playing the piano, I like playing it because the piano is a really good way of taking out your anger of something.

Minecraft building in Medieval times

In medieval times, both classes has both made their own village. In our village I was responsible for making the Manor House(this is where the lord lives) The Manor house took us 3 weeks to build. Daniel did the outside of the house while me, aiden and sam did the interior. In the Manor house, we included a lot of bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 dunnys, I dinning room and a front hall. I think the Manor House looks great, all the hard work and effort was definitely worth it.

What other material should we have used to make the Manor house look Better?????

100th post + medieval times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far in medieval times, we have learnt about wars(Crusades), the plague, and about the ranks of the people. During this topic we have done a lot of things to help us understand such as watching videos, making power points and building a medieval village in Minecraft. I have learnt a lot during this topic and now I have great interest in this topic.

Electives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So for term 2&3 we have electives, we have a choice of many different options such as cooking, creative computers, sciences and a lot more. For term 2 I was in creative computers. In there we mad movies and we made some Minecraft maps. I was making a map with joe and will. This term I am in cooking . So far we have cooked kedgeree, meatballs and risotto. I am looking forward to making rocky road. Electives has been really fun, I have enjoyed ding it all these years

Tech!!!!!!!!!

  At Tech so far, we have been working on electronics. We have made a keyboard, and completed the circuit board. This week we are completing the keyboard(finally!!!!!!). So far we have done cooking film making and electronics. My favourite tech class is probably cooking. In there we made delicious food such as pizza and bread. Next we will be moving onto woodwork and then onto sewing. I am sure I will enjoy the rest of my final year at tech.

Medieval Times

So far, in medieval times we have learnt about the ranks of the people. There are different ranks such as the king, merchants, nobles, craftsmen bishops, barons and peasants. We also watched a cheesy video( that's has like jokes from the middle ages) which kind of helped us understand the ranks a bit more. I would like to learn more about the defences of a castle the army.

Book groups

So right now on every Tuesday and Thursday, we have book groups. In our group we have Joe, josh, ben Matt.S and me. We are currently reading a book called hatchet. it is about a boy named Brian on his way to visit his farther. On the way, his plane crashes into the Canadian wilderness. All he has is a hatchet. He must survive until rescue arrives.

Learning

At school we have been learning how to paint picture like "this is not a pipe" and other stuff. We are also learning to write essays. today I just did a geometry test and I got 70/72 so yeahhh. That's what were learning

The colosseum

IF all the year 7's are wondering what the Minecraft colosseum thing was, here are a few picture of it. BY the way it took 6 people 100 hours in 2 weeks to build so it turned out to be pretty darn big

My ok painting skills

So this time, im going to talk about my painting skills. Probably like everyone, when they first start painting they aren't very good. Well that's the case with me, but over these few weeks, my painting skills have been improving a lot. I can now actually paint straight, bold lines instead of light and squiggly ones. Also I have been improving a lot in blender different colours together. Tday, I started to paint my this is not an apple. Its looking pretty good, so look out for that picture when that's finished.

I have so far achieved all the goals that  have put down. I honestly think that that is the first time its happened so im pretty please with myself.

This not a pipe

On Wednesday morning, we all painted the painting "this is not a pipe". I didn't really like mine, but as I practised I did get better. I would shape the shape so it is a bit more round and I would also do more shading. Next would I would like to paint a bottle, I think it will be pretty fun!!!

Basic facts

For my basic facts, I think I'm gong pretty well. Its just that I cant read properly. my 6's become 9's and my 4's become 6's. I don't know what's going on. I need to learn to read. It is because of this problem Im getting 99's which really ticks me off. But of course, Im no Daniel. I don't always get 100's in my test.

St brigids vist (after)

So today, we went to St brigids by train. When we got there, we first started of  with a liturgy at saint peter and Pauls church. After wars we went back to St Bridgids to have morning tea. For morning tea, we were given free sausages (which were very kind of them)During morning tea, we played a game of soccer, st bens vs. st Bridgids and they won. AT about 11:00 we were called n to start our activities. Our group were playing indoor hockey with a tennis ball and rolled up magazines. And our tam won!. After we went upstairs to ding a final song together, and we headed back to school.
I think today was a awesome day. I know a couple of more friends, and yeah...
I think we should have another day like today!?!?!

St bridgids visit (Before)

On Wednesday, it will be Catholics school's day. we will be going to St Bridgids in the morning by train. From going to St Bridgids I hope I can become friends with some of the guys and Learn their ways. I  can listen to instructions carefully so I can make the day go well.

ASB Literacy

Today a guy from ASB get wise came to talk to us about money. He first to talk to us about, loans and debt and then talked about different types of cards(Creadit cards and Efpos)Then he talked about the wages. From the minimum wage in nz being 13.50. And then we talked about how we choose a job, and choosing what job to earn more money. HE told us hat there are 3 steps, to be good in your carer, they are, experience, qualifying, and motivation. After this talk I think I will follow guide line when I get a job.

Holiday recount!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was just sitting there doing nothing when the phone rang. I picked it up, it was Daniel. He asked me to go over to his place, but I wanted him to come over, so we agreed that that we were first going to Daniel's place for a couple of hours, then afterwards we would come over to mine. So at 1:30 I headed off to Daniel's place. After I got there, I we headed off to Nainville. There we also met Daniels's cousin from Christchurch. We all played piggy in the middle for a while then we got really bored. So we decided to head up to Joe's place. We got there we went into his house and we said hello to him. After we left and went back to Nainville. We went back to Daniel's house and we played SLENDER. At first I thought I will poo my pants, but then as I play on, I wasn't scary at all. In fact we weren't trying to get away from SLENDER but we were trying to find him. We broke the most important rule, we looked behind us. But I don't know if Slender doesn't like me or something because slender never appeared. But anyway my record of pages was 4. We then headed off to my place. When we got to my place, we kept playing Slender. Finally we got bored and went to plat Minecraft HG. We played on my favourite map, SG 4. I knew where every chest was on this map I got 4 kills in that game. Daniel then put the Ather mod into my Minecraft, finally I could see what the Ather was like, and it was so cool! Then it was dinner time, we had fried rice. After dinner we kept playing Minecraft and sometimes playing Slender. Then there was a knock on the door, Daniel's dad has come to pick him up. That day was probably the funniest thing I did in the holidays, I had loads of fun and I finally got to play Slender on the computer.

Stats!!!!

Last week, we finished off the stats unit with a teat, for the test I got 99% which really kind od ticked me off. Well the question I got wrong is counting so I don't feel like this is really going to affect my stats thing. I have feel like this time I doing stats, I feel much more confident. So this year for me was really only revision. I don't really know what I got to improve on????? But I feel like Im going to forget half of the things.

Back from OPC!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just gotten back from OPC and I am going to tell you guys what was the most challenging ,easy, proudest and favourite moment of Camp

The most challenging for me was doing the flying fox, the easiest thing for me was probably going tubing. My proudest moment was being Rainbow boy and my favourite moment was falling down the hole!!!!!!!

Superhero!!!!

During these few weeks of drawing superheros, I think I have improved a lot. I find drawing the superheroes in different poses have seemed a lot easier to me, when I finish the 3 panel comic thing, I will upload a photo of it. The new techniques I've learnt are learning how to sketch very brief sketches of te superhero and get myself of my addiction of using a rubber.

Camp!!!!!!!!

Im posting this post at school like a boss.

First week back st school!!!!!!!!

When I first got to school, I very very excited to see Fraser because we all thought he was going to leave st bens this year but we kinda got disappointed when I said he was only going to stay till Tuesday, but a least we got to see home before he left and p.s if you Fraser are reader this post we all miss you very much I feel lonely being the only yr8 boy on the table:( on the first day we all got intros used to the tasks thing. In a way it was kinda fun but I also feel sorry for some yr7 that were really stressing. On tuesday we did a maths and schonell test. On Wednesday it was wagtani so we didn't have school:) Thursday we had to go back to school and start consontrating back on school work, only on this day did i finnsh my task. Friday was basically swimming and after that we had a game of hunger games dodge ball, it was so fun because all the yr8s ganged up on the sevens and the game was basically over in 5 mins, we should so do that everytime! I think the first week was very fun but was kinda disappointing that Fraser had to leave but it was nice getting to know the yr7 s better:)
